Leszek Zaleski Quartet "Time"
The second album of the quartet, led by jazz guitarist Leszek Zaleski, consists of more progressive, rhythmically and harmonically complex, and formally developed compositions. Thanks to the new instrumentarium, the palette of colors used by the band has expanded, in two songs ("I like it", "Ballada") the Neon String Quartet makes guest appearances. All this makes the music from the "Time" album sound a bit different than the first LZQ album "My songs" from 2017. There are more pads, synthesizers, and the rhythm section has a greater share in creating the musical drive. These are new members of the band: bassist Tomasz Grabowy, known for his cooperation with a galaxy of jazz stars, and multiple award-winner, versatile drummer Paweł Ostrowski. Just like on the first album, Leszek Zaleski is accompanied by an excellent pianist and keyboardist, Dawid Troczewski. A must-have for all jazz lovers.
