First recital performed on Gdańsk's oldest piano: nearly 190 years old and it still astonishes with the depth of sound testifying to the craftsmanship of golden day Gdańsk’s musical instrument makers from the Wiszniewski family. In 2019, it was taken over by The Museum of Gdańsk and after many months the original appearance and functionality was restored. The inaugural concert on Gdańsk’s oldest piano took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of The Museum of Gdańsk in 2020.
Maciej Gański, graduated with honours from The Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where he received the degree of the Doctor of Musical Arts. “Maciej Gański carries on with the golden era of the Polish piano music,” “one of the distinguished pianists of the young generation,” “he was revealed as a titan of the piano,” “ultimate performer with extraordinarily transparent and crystalline technique”, are only a few selected reviews of the artist’s performance.
