The Bokun/Kościuszko Clarinet and Guitar Duo is a musical ensemble from Wrocław whose aspiration is to rediscover the greatest masterpieces of chamber music from Bach and Schubert, through 20th-century French composers to a contemporary chamber and solo music repertoire. The musicians’ passion for chamber music was a direct impulse to found an unusual band. The Bokun/Kościuszko Duo also performs with orchestras, playing the Double Concerto by Astor Piazzolla in an arrangement for clarinet, guitar and strings. The duos’ concert tour included i.e. such cities as Tokyo, New York, Paris and Prague. The enthusiastic acclaim in Japan resulted with the appearance on the cover of “Clarinet” magazine.
In 2015 they released the album A la carte, gaining 5-star reviews. The new album A la carte 2, featuring works by Ravel, Connesson, Zenamon, Drozd, Woś, Kovács and Viseur displays a variety of styles, including world premiere recordings of pieces composed especially for the duo, French Valses Musettes, klezmer fusion and world-jazz pieces. The experience gained from many years of cooperation with other instrumentalists has become the nucleus of the interpretation ideas of the formation, focusing on the quality of artistic expression.
